Clark Gets $72K State Grant to Fund Cleanup, Recycling & Environmental Programs

The award through NJ's Clean Communities Program will support both public works operations and community volunteer efforts.

CLARK, NJ — The Township of Clark has been awarded $36,766.73 through New Jersey's Clean Communities Grant Program, with additional funding expected to bring the total award to approximately $72,000.

The grant supports statewide efforts to reduce litter, promote recycling and improve the environmental quality of local communities.

In Clark, the funding will go toward public works litter removal, storm drain maintenance and management, disposal and recycling support, and the purchase of supplies and equipment for ongoing cleanup operations.

The grant will also support community engagement efforts including public education campaigns, volunteer cleanup events and partnerships with local organizations and civic groups.

Township officials thanked the state for the continued support and said the funding helps maintain a cleaner, safer and more environmentally responsible community for residents.
