Clark Township Begins Storm Debris Collection Following Weekend Storm

CLARK, NJ —Clark Township's Department of Public Works will begin collecting storm-related branches throughout the community starting Monday as recovery efforts continue following the severe storm that struck the township on July 3.

Since the storm, Public Works crews have been working around the clock to clear roadways, eliminate safety hazards, and respond to storm damage.

As cleanup efforts move into the next phase, crews will begin removing storm debris from residential neighborhoods.

Residents are asked to place storm-related branches only at the curb. Branches should be no longer than four feet in length and stacked neatly to ensure crews can collect them safely and efficiently.

Township officials remind residents not to mix branches with grass clippings, construction debris, household garbage, or other materials, as those items cannot be collected with storm debris and may delay the cleanup process.

Due to the extensive damage across the township, officials caution that debris collection will take time. Crews will work through Clark neighborhood by neighborhood, and not every street will be serviced on the first day. Once branches are placed at the curb, residents are asked to leave them there until collection has been completed in their area.
