CLARK, NJ — A Food Network "Chopped" champion is returning to a Union County restaurant after an eight-year absence to introduce a new dining concept.
Chef Eric LeVine is rejoining Paragon Tap & Table in Clark and helping relaunch the restaurant as Paragon An American Italian Gastro Pub.
The restaurant, located at 77 Central Ave., is expected to reopen Sept. 10.
LeVine is partnering with Purvi Shah and Akik Shah on the relaunch after stepping away from the restaurant eight years ago.
According to the restaurant, the new concept will blend classic American gastropub fare with Italian-inspired dishes, giving the Clark restaurant a new identity while building on its existing location.
The relaunch marks a new chapter for the longtime restaurant, which has operated as Paragon Tap & Table. The restaurant is expected to reopen under its new name on Sept. 10.
