Books, Bites And Big Ideas For Young Readers At Clark Library

CLARK, NJ — Young readers can mix books, conversation and treats at Clark Public Library's Books, Chat, & Chow Kid's Book Club on Wednesday.

The program is scheduled from 4 to 4:45 p.m. in the library's Board Room at 303 Westfield Ave. The event is open to children in second through sixth grades, including readers between ages 5 and 12.

This month's discussion will center on history. Participants may choose a title from the "What Was…" series or another book focused on a historical event. The group will then gather to talk about the book, share what they learned and take part in a related activity.

Treats will be included in the afternoon, adding a tasty touch to the book club discussion.

Registration is required and is scheduled to remain open until 4 p.m. Wednesday., when the program begins. Families can register through the event page on the Clark Public Library calendar.

The library allows children to select a history book that interests them. The flexibility may make the club a comfortable option for curious young readers who enjoy learning about the past and discussing discoveries with other children.
