Clark Doggy Dip Makes A Splash Next Tuesday

Small and large dogs will get separate swim times during Clark's end-of-summer pool party for four-legged residents.

CLARK, NJ — The dog days of summer are getting one last splash in Clark, and this time, the pool is going to the pups.

Clark Recreation will host its Doggy Dip from noon to 2 p.m. Next Tuesday at the Clark Community Pool, 201 Oak Ridge Road. Organizers invited residents to "have your furry friend make a splash" during the special end-of-season swim.

To keep the pool from becoming too ruff, dogs will take turns according to size. Small dogs can paddle and play from noon to 1 p.m., followed by large dogs from 1 to 2 p.m.

All participating dogs must be friendly and accompanied by their handlers. Owners should register in advance through the Clark Recreation Department.

The afternoon also comes with a little treat once the swimming is done: Complimentary Milk-Bones will be available for the four-legged guests.

For Clark dog owners, the dip offers a playful way to squeeze in one more pool day after the summer swimming season. Humans may handle the towels, but the dogs get the final lap around the pool.
