Back To School: Clark, Garwood 2021-22 School Calendars

CLARK/GARWOOD, NJ — Back-to-school planning has already begun in Clark and Garwood, with calendars available to help parents prepare for the first day in Clark Public Schools and Garwood Public Schools.

The first day of school for most students in Clark and Garwood is Sept. 9.

Heading into the upcoming school year, some dates are subject to change as the coronavirus pandemic nears its year-and-a-half point.

Currently, the Clark district said they are "still planning to continue with our masking optional approach." Like last year, these policies could change any time before the first day.

Here is the list of dates to know for this school year:

Clark Public Schools

• First Day: Thursday, Sept. 9
• Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 24 (half-day). Nov. 25 and 26
• Winter Break: Dec. 23 (half-day). Dec. 24 - Dec. 31
• Spring Break: April 15 - 22
• Last Day: June 23 (half-day)

Garwood Public Schools

• First Day: Thursday, Sept. 9
• Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 24 (half-day). Nov. 25 and 26
• Winter Break: Dec. 23 (half-day). Dec. 24 - Dec. 31
• Spring Break: April 11 - 18
• Last Day: June 22 (half-day)
