Car Burglary, Shoplifting, Resisting Arrest Reported In Clark

The Clark Police reported making five arrests recently on charges of shoplifting, drug possession, resisting arrest and more.

CLARK, NJ — The Clark Police reported making five arrests recently on charges on shoplifting, drug possession, resisting arrest and more.

On Feb. 12 at 1:50 p.m.: Police arrested Chantel Thomas, 21, of Jersey City, for shoplifting merchandise valued at $497.67 from the Marshall’sDepartment Store at 77 Central Ave. She was also detained on an outstanding warrant from the Morris County Sheriff’s Department. She was
released on the Clark charges pending a court date and subsequently turned over to the Morris County Sheriff’s Department. Police Officer Andrew Medeiros was the arresting officer.

On Feb. 13 at 9:44 a.m.: In the vicinity of Westfield Avenue, police arrested Marlon Bacon, 46, of Elizabeth, on outstanding warrants from Elizabeth, Rahway, Roselle and Woodbridge totaling $4,260 for contempt of court. He was subsequently turned over to the Woodbridge Police Department. Police Officer Andrew Medeiros was the arresting officer.

On Feb. 13 at 4:14 p.m.: In the vicinity of Valley Road, police arrested Zuberu Sumaila, 27, of Rahway, for providing false documents, hindering apprehension and eluding/resisting arrest. He was subsequently released on his on recognizance pending a court date. Det. Bruce McDonald was the arresting officer.

On Feb. 13 at 9:31 p.m.: In the vicinity of Gibson Boulevard, police arrested Alyssa Holmes, 23, of Newark, for possession of controlled dangerous substance (CDS). She was subsequently released on her own recognizance pending a court date. Police Officer Michael DeAngelo was the arresting officer.

On Feb. 15 at 10:41 p.m.: In the vicinity of Brant Avenue, police arrested Hailey Reyes, 24, of Yonkers, New York for possession of CDS. She was subsequently released on her own recognizance pending a court date. Police Officer Omer Olmeda was the arresting officer.

On Feb. 16 at 9:24 a.m.: Police took a report of a burglary to a motor vehicle that was parked at a residence on Prospect Street. The incident is under investigation. Police Officer Christopher Tuccio was the investigating officer.
