Clark Cub Scouts Host Free Car Wash Saturday at ALJ

The boys of Clark Cub Pack 145 - Den 2 will be hosting a free car wash on Saturday, May 19 (raindate May 20) at from 8 a.m. till noon.

No tickets are needed before the event, though donations are greatly appreciated. This car wash is an annual event and funds raised help to support the scout activities throughout the year.

"They work hard for the money that is earned, and it teaches them great values and skills," says cub scout mom Carol Mirek.

The car wash and other fundraisers help to cut the costs for camping and other activities the scouts do, making scouting more affordable for the families involved. The boy scouts also help in the community with river clean ups, festival clean ups and planting in areas of Clark.

To prep for the car wash, the boys worked on their advertising skills creating signs to announce and promote the event.
