Clark Firefighters Respond To Gas Main Break
CRJ Contracting was reportedly doing water work in front of 6 Grand St. when they pulled a two-inch gas main out: Clark Fire Chief.
CLARK, NJ — The Clark Fire Department responded to a gas main break on Monday morning.
At 8:16 a.m., CRJ Contracting was reportedly doing water work in front of 6 Grand St. when they pulled a two-inch gas main out causing gas to actively blow out, Clark Fire Chief Frank Cerasa said.
Elizabethtown Gas responded and repaired the line, bringing it under control at 9:25 a.m.

Fire crews were standing by checking the surrounding houses and responded to an additional call in the area for a outside odor of gas, Cerasa said.
Clark had two engine companies and five fighters on the scene. There were no reported injuries and no evacuations, Cerasa said.
