Clark Is Hiring A Police Officer. Deadline Extended to June 15
The department is filling a vacancy through NJ Civil Service inter-governmental transfer, with salaries up to $133,145.
CLARK, NJ — The Clark Police Department is seeking to fill a police officer vacancy through the New Jersey Civil Service inter-governmental transfer program. The deadline for the application has been extended to June 15.
The position offers a salary range of $65,683 to $133,145 with full benefits. Officers work 10.75-hour shifts on a 4-on/4-off schedule, including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
The 42-officer department serves more than 15,000 residents and includes specialized units covering detective, traffic and youth aid bureaus.

Applicants must currently be employed as a law enforcement officer in New Jersey with at least one year in a NJ Civil Service Commission jurisdiction, and hold a current basic PTC certification from the NJ Police Training Commission — waivers will not be considered.
Additional requirements include U.S. citizenship, NJ residency, a valid NJ driver's license, a high school diploma or equivalent, good moral character with no indictable crimes, and the ability to meet all NJ PTC licensing requirements, including medical and physical exams. Applicants must be between 18 and 35 years of age.
