CLARK, NJ — A Clark local was among 14 people to be arrested last week in the township on a variety of charges including shoplifting, drugs and outstanding warrants.

Clark Police Blotter:

On Jan. 8 at 7:22 p.m.: Police arrested Thomas Twomey, 47, of Clark for shoplifting from the Shop-Rite Supermarket at 76 Central Ave. He was subsequently released on his own recognizance pending a court date. Police Officer Andrew Medeiros was the arresting officer.

On Jan. 9 at 3:50 p.m.: In the vicinity of the Garden State Parkway northbound, police arrested Tristian Staniszewski, 20, of Rahway for possession of controlled dangerous substance(CDS). He was subsequently released on his own recognizance pending a court date. Det. Michael Ciaccio was the arresting officer.

On Jan. 10 at 4:25 p.m.: At Headquarters, police arrested Carlos Matos, 24, of Port Reading for possession of CDS. He was subsequently released on his own recognizance pending a court date. Sgt. Ricardo Oliveira was the arresting officer.

On Jan. 11 at 9:28 a.m.: In the vicinity of Lake Avenue, police arrested Donna O’Connor, 48, of Perth Amboy for possession of CDS. She was subsequently released on her own recognizance pending a court date. Police Officer Sergio Henriques was the arresting officer.

On Jan. 12 at 8:48 a.m.: In the vicinity of Stone Street in Rahway, police arrested Matthew Manzo,
28 and Andreanna Bally, 27, of Newark for possession of CDS. Both individuals were subsequently released on their own recognizance pending court dates. Police Officer Mazhar Elwardany was the arresting officer.

On Jan. 13 at 12:22 a.m.: In the vicinity of Thomas Drive, police arrested James Miles, 32, of Plainfield on an outstanding warrant from Seaside Heights in the amount of $400 for contempt of court. He was subsequently turned over to the Seaside Heights Police Department. Also arrested was Bryant King, 24, of North Plainfield on outstanding warrants, totaling $2,000, from Bloomfield, Nutley and Plainfield for contempt of court. He was subsequently turned over to the Plainfield Police Department. Police Officer Joshua Weber was the arresting officer.

On Jan. 14 at 9:59 p.m.: In the vicinity of the Garden State Parkway Circle, police arrested Steve Brutus,
26, of Hillside for possession of CDS. He was also detained on an outstanding warrant in the amount of $1,574 from Union Township for contempt of court. He was released on the Clark charges pending a court date and subsequently turned over to the Union Township Police Department on their warrant. Sgt. Christopher Tuccio was the arresting officer.

On Jan. 15 at 10:54 a.m.: In the vicinity of Valley Road, police arrested Keronda Hunter, 36, of Rahway on outstanding warrants, totaling $2,000, from South Plainfield and Westfield for contempt of court. She was subsequently turned over to the South Plainfield Police Department. Police Officer Andrew Medeiros was the arresting officer.

On Jan. 15 at 4:35 p.m.: In the vicinity of Westfield Avenue in Rahway, police arrested Jorge Rivas, 30, of Rahway on an outstanding no bail warrant from the Essex County Sheriff’s Department. He was subsequently turned over to the Essex County Sheriff’s Department. Police Officer Andrew Medeiros was the arresting officer.

On Jan. 15 at 9:22 p.m.: In the vicinity of Lake Avenue, police arrested Joshua Williams, 35, of Elizabeth for possession of CDS. He was also detained on outstanding warrants from Bound Brook and Elizabeth for contempt of court. He was released on the Clark charges pending a court date, and he was subsequently turned over to the Elizabeth Police Department on their warrant. Police Officer Paul Sosnowski was the arresting officer.

On Jan. 15 at 11:21 p.m.: In the vicinity of Ross Street, police arrested DeWayne Scott, 35, of Newark and Valarie Brooks, 34, of Rahway for possession of CDS and CDS paraphernalia. Scott was also charged with CDS distribution, and both individuals were subsequently released on their own recognizance pending court dates. Police Officer Paul Sosnowski was the arresting officer.
