Clark Local Arrested For Simple Assault: Police Blotter
Two cars were also damaged last week while parked in Clark, police report.

CLARK, NJ -- Clark police report making six arrests on a variety on incidents including driving under the influence, simple assault, drug possession and shoplifting.
Clark Police Blotter:
On June 27 at 5:27 p.m.: Police took a report of a theft of items from an unsecured locker at L.A. Fitness at 1255 Raritan Road. The incident is under investigation. Police Officer Paul Sosnowski was the investigating officer.

On June 27 at 6:37 p.m.: Police took a report of criminal mischief to a motor vehicle that was parked at a residence on Oak Ridge Road. The incident is under investigation. Police Officer Sergio D’Andrea was the investigating officer.
On June 29 at 2:22 a.m.: In the vicinity of Raritan Road and Central Avenue, police arrested Marvin Barrera, 25, of Williamstown for driving under the influence. He was subsequently released pending a court date. Police Officer Bruce McDonald was the arresting officer.

On June 28 at 9:51 p.m.: In the vicinity of the Garden State Parkway Circle, police arrested Christopher Sawford, 37, of Union for driving under the influence. He was subsequently released pending a court date. Police Officer Bruce McDonald was the arresting officer.
On June 29 at 8:12 a.m.: In the vicinity of Armstrong Drive and Lake Avenue, police arrested Taylor Cutro, 25, of Clark for possession of controlled dangerous substance. He was subsequently released on his own recognizance pending a court date. Det. Brian Pereira was the arresting officer.
On June 30 at 3:04 p.m.: At Headquarters, police arrested Brian Downey, 49, of Clark for simple assault. He was subsequently released on his own recognizance pending a court date. Det. Sgt. George Marmarou was the arresting officer.
On June 30 at 8:55 p.m.: Police took a report of a theft of a wallet at L.A. Fitness at 1255 Raritan Road. The incident is under investigation. Police Officer Joshua Weber was the investigating officer.
On July 2 at 7:48 a.m.: Police took a report of criminal mischief to a motor vehicle that was parked at a residence on Gibson Boulevard. The incident is under investigation. Police Officer Pedro Oliveira was the investigating officer.
On July 2 at 1:42 p.m.: At 77 Central Avenue, police arrested Bridget Ellison, 54, of Elizabeth and Shaquita Ayler, 24, of Elizabeth for shoplifting merchandise valued at $620.57 from the Marshall’s Department Store at 77 Central Avenue. Ellison was subsequently turned over to the Edison Police Department on their outstanding warrant in the amount of $750 and Ayler was released on her own recognizance pending a court date. Police Officer Mazhar Elwardany was the arresting officer.
