Clark Local Charged With Aggravated Assault

Multiple wallet thefts were also reported, according to the Clark Police blotter.

CLARK, NJ — A Clark local was among those arrested recently, according to the police blotter.

On July 30 at 6:32 p.m.: At headquarters, police arrested Matthew Perry, 38, of Clark for aggravated assault. He was subsequently released pending a court date. Det. Michael Ciaccio was the arresting officer.

On July 29 at 10:25 p.m.: Police took a report of a theft of a wallet from a patron of the Whole Foods Supermarket at 1255 Raritan Road. The incident is under investigation. Police Officer Michael DeAngelo was the investigating officer.

On July 31 at 7:41 p.m.: Police arrested Avni Bhandari, 19, of Mountainside for shoplifting merchandise valued at $46.98 from the Target Department Store at 45 Central Ave. She was subsequently released on her own recognizance pending a court date. Police Officer Joshua Weber was the arresting officer.

On Aug. 1 at 5:24 p.m.: Police took a report of a stolen wallet from a patron of the Main Moon Restaurant at 1129 Raritan Road. The incident is under investigation. Police Officer Brandon Pitts was the arresting officer.

On Aug. 2 at 8:02 a.m.: In the vicinity of Oak Ridge Road, police arrested Barry Valenta, 42, of Plainfield for possession of controlled dangerous substance(CDS) and CDS paraphernalia. He was subsequently released pending a court date. Police Officer Christopher Tuccio was the arresting officer.

On Aug. 2 at 5:13 p.m.: Police took a report of a theft of a wallet from a patron of the Target Department Store at 45 Central Ave. The incident is under investigation. Police Officer Brandon Pitts was the investigating officer.

On Aug. 3 at 9:51 a.m.: In the vicinity of Raritan Road, police arrested Brad Guerrero, 19, of South Plainfield for possession of CDS. He was subsequently released pending a court date. Police Officer Christopher Tuccio was the arresting officer.

On Aug. 3 at 12:55 p.m.: At 1255 Raritan Road, police arrested Stewart Manderly, 34, of East Orange for shoplifting merchandise valued at $287.26 from the Whole Foods Supermarket at 1255 Raritan Road. He was subsequently released on his own recognizance pending a court date. Police Officer Brandon McKenna was the arresting officer.
