Clark Police Arrest 8 On Charges Of Shoplifting, Drugs, Warrants
A total of 8 people were charged last week for multiple crimes including shoplifting, drug possession and warrants, Clark Police said.
CLARK, NJ —
On Sept. 11 at 2:03 p.m.: In the vicinity of Valley Road, police arrested Kenneth Smith, 28, of Brooklyn, New York and Andre Bunbury, 25, of Brooklyn, New York for unlawful use of credit cards and possession of controlled dangerous substance(CDS). Both individuals were subsequently released pending court dates. Police Officer Christopher Tuccio was the arresting officer.
On Sept. 12 at 11:42 a.m.: In the vicinity of Broadway, police arrested Dorian Gillens, 31, of Newark for possession of CDS. He was subsequently released pending a court date. Police Officer Christopher Tuccio was the arresting officer.

On Sept. 12 at 7:55 p.m.: At headquarters, police arrested Jiovanni Castro, 39, of Perth Amboy and Nancy Vaca, 45, of Perth Amboy for theft. Castro was also detained on an outstanding no bail warrant from the Union County Sheriff’s Department. Both individuals were released on the Clark charges pending court dates, and Castro was subsequently turned over to the Union County Sheriff’s Department on their warrant. Det. Michael Ciaccio was the arresting officer.
On Sept. 13 at 11:26 a.m.: In the vicinity of Brant Avenue, police arrested Jam Ess, 28, of Rahway on an outstanding warrant from Rahway for contempt of court. He was subsequently turned over to the Rahway Police Department. Det. Brian Pereira was the arresting officer.

On Sept. 13 at 6:48 p.m.: Police arrested Chavon Thomas, 26, of Newark for shoplifting from the Marshall’s Department Store at 77 Central Ave. He was also charged with simple assault, possession of CDS and detained on an outstanding warrant from East Hanover for contempt of court. He was subsequently released on all charges pending court dates. Police Officer Brendan Jacobi was the arresting officer.
On Sept. 16 at 8:07 a.m.: Police arrested Lotoya Lindsay, 31, of Newark for shoplifting merchandise valued at $311.87 from the Target Department Store at 45 Central Ave. She was subsequently released pending a court date. P.O. Ted McKeown was the arresting officer.
