Clark Police Make Drug, Theft Arrests

Clark Police also reported a package was stolen from a township home recently.

CLARK, NJ — Clark Police reported making four arrests on charges of drug possession, theft and shoplifting recently.

Clark Police blotter:

On Dec. 11 at 9:47 a.m.: In the vicinity of Broadway, police arrested Levar Spruill, 41, of Rahway and Gerard Hook, 46, of Spotswood for possession of controlled dangerous substance (CDS) and CDS paraphernalia. Spruill was also charged with hindering apprehension. Both individuals were subsequently released on their own recognizance pending court dates. Detective Sgt. Christian Lott was the arresting officer.

On Dec. 13 at 7:37 p.m.: At headquarters, police arrested Howard Starkes, 55, of Clinton for theft. He was subsequently transported to the Union County Jail. Detective Michael Ciaccio was the arresting officer.

On Dec. 14 at 6:28 a.m.: Police took a report of a theft of a package from the porch of a residence on Frances Drive. The incident is under investigation. Police Officer Michael Somma was the investigating officer.
