Clark Schools To Stick With In-Person, Hybrid Plan
Clark Public Schools will stick with its reopening plan for September despite Gov. Murphy saying districts can choose to go all-remote.
CLARK, NJ — Clark Public Schools will be sticking with its reopening plan to offer an in-person, hybrid plan along with a fully virtual option for parents.
Superintendent of Schools Edward Grande said the district "is continuing with its current plan for the time being." This follows Gov. Phil Murphy's announcement on Wednesday to allow school districts to choose to go all-remote when school restarts in September. The Clark Public School district released its reopening plan on July 28, which includes two options: fully virtual or a hybrid model.

Arthur L. Johnson High School, Carl H. Kumpf Middle School, Frank K. Hehnly Elementary School, and Valley Road Elementary School will be running on an a.m./p.m. schedule where half of the students at each school will be assigned by the district to one of the two in-person sessions. The Preschool class is already a half-day program.

Clark parents have until Monday, Aug. 17 to decide whether they will be opt-out of in-person instruction and elect to have their child remain at home for virtual learning.
