CLARK, NJ — Clark Schools Superintendent Ed Grande is warning parents and staff of a dangerous social media challenge that's already been blamed for the hospitalization of multiple students.

"While we have yet to hear of our students participating in such behavior, we wanted to give you a heads up so that you could talk to them about the associated dangers," Grande said.

The very dangerous trend known as the "Skull Breaker Challenge" is occurring through the social media app Tik Tok, Grande said.

The challenge, which began in Spain, involves three people standing in row jumping straight into the air while the two people on the end hit the middle person with their heads to try and get them off balance, according to FoxNews.

Multiple hospitalizations have been reported in Arizona, Alabama as well as in the Garden State in Cherry Hill.

According to news reports, the parents of a 13-year-old middle school student in Cherry Hill were warning others after he was hospitalized on Jan. 24 with a severe concussion. His parents said that when an ambulance rushed to his middle school, they found him unresponsive. He had fallen while trying to complete the challenge.

Grande went on to urge parents who may have concerns to contact their child's school counselor.
