CLARK, NJ – An employee at the Clark ShopRite has a confirmed case of the new coronavirus, according to the store's Facebook page, which announced the case on Wednesday.

According to the post, ShopRite has implemented CDC-recommended protocols to slow the spread of the coronavirus, which includes removing the employee from the workplace, asking colleagues who may have been in contact with that person to self-quarantine for 14 days, and deep cleaning and sanitizing all workspaces used by the employee, as well as common areas.

The store also said it will be taking extra steps to deep clean and sanitize food contact surfaces and high-touch areas throughout all stores and will promote social distancing by putting up Plexiglass shields to protect employees and customers.
