Union County Commissioners Christopher Hudak, Lourdes Leon and Kimberly Palmieri-Mouded visited Clark on Thursday, October 28 to deliver two checks to the Township.  The payments were made available through the Union County Open Space, Recreation, and Historic Preservation Trust Fund.    Mayor Sal Bonaccorso, Business Administrator Jim Ulrich and Recreation Director Ralph Bernardo greeted the UC Commissioners and welcomed the funding for various projects in Clark Township. The first grant of $100,000 from the Kids Recreation Trust will be used to purchase helmets for recreational football teams and a floor Zamboni to maintain the gyms, cafeteria and hallways of the Clark Recreation facilities.  The remaining monies will be put toward the conversion of a soccer and baseball field to turf.      The Township also received a $3,500 Greening Union County grant to plant trees.  A variety of trees will be planted throughout the community in the spring of 2022.  Both grants are offered as matching funds to those being expended by the Township for the projects. According to county officials, $1.05 million in grants were distributed throughout the county during this grant cycle.  ### Stay Connected to the Clark Community
