Clark Twp. Schools Ranked Among Best In NJ: Niche

CLARK, NJ — The Clark Township School District was among the top-ranked districts in New Jersey for the 2019-2020 school year, according to Niche's 2020 K-12 rankings. The district was ranked 131st best in New Jersey.

Each New Jersey district received a letter grade in the following categories: Academics; Diversity; Teachers; College Prep; Clubs & Activities; Health & Safety; Administration; Sports; Food; and Resources & Facilities.

Here is a breakdown of Clark's scores:

• Resources & Facilities B

To arrive at the rankings, Niche looked at data from the U.S. Department of Education as well as test scores, college data, and ratings collected from Niche users. (You can read more about the methodology here.)

Clark has 2,250 students in grades PK, K-12 and has a student-teacher ratio of 13 to 1. A total of 43 percent of students are at least proficient in math and 59 percent in reading, according to state test scores reported by Niche.

"Its really important to us that the school fit the child. We have 3 in the district and the teachers and administration are always listening to your concerns. They know you and your kids, great benefit of a small town," a parent said.

"Good suburban school. Has everything offered at the Magnet Schools plus sports. School offers many clubs and lets students start new clubs," a district alum said.
