Dallas Is Clark-Garwood's Pet Of The Week

CLARK/GARWOOD, NJ — Meet Dallas! He has been chosen as Clark-Garwood Patch's Pet Of The Week.

"Dallas is an 11 year old Pekingese from Garwood but he still looks and acts like a total puppy! He started his own Instragram page as 'thepretentiouspeke' and now has almost 1,300 followers!

People around the world love him because of his adorable underbite, but those who know him personally love him for his undeniably affectionate demeanor.

A total lap dog, Dallas is certainly a true cuddler who loves his belly rubs and loves sleeping at the foot of the bed too! He just needs a little help to getting up and down everyday because his legs are too short to jump successfully!

Mommy thinks he's funny because when she is cleaning, he comes over and plops himself down next to her, looking for attention. She can't help but stop what she is doing and give him lots of hugs and kisses! The family always makes sure that Dallas knows he is their best furry friend and an important member of the family!"

Participating in the Pet of the Week happenings is simple: submit your nomination by emailing alexis.tarrazi@patch.com with subject line "Clark-Garwood Pet Of The Week." Be sure to include a photograph or two of your pet, a paragraph about what makes him or her so great, and the town you're from.

You can choose to include your name, but you don't need to. Then just keep an eye out for a photo of your pet on the Patch!

The photo can be of a present pet, or it can be a baby picture of the adult pet you're so proud of today. All photos must be property of the submitter.

Additionally, selected winners each week will be given a free small gift basket filled with treats and goodies when they stop at In-N-Out Dog Wash at 300 North Ave. in Garwood. And winners can also bring their pet into the store for a picture. In-N-Out will put them up on their Facebook page as well.
