Drunk Off-Duty Elizabeth Officer Crashes Into Parked Car: Police

ELIZABETH, NJ — An off-duty Elizabeth police sergeant has been charged with driving while intoxicated following a crash in the city on Saturday night.
Sgt. Tracy O. Finch was driving his Chevy Tahoe on Magnolia Avenue around 1 a.m. when he crashed into a parked car, pushing it forward into another parked car, damaging both cars, according to nj.com.
Finch's blood-alcohol level was 0.13, which is over the legal limit of 0.08, according to a breathalyzer test at the scene. He was then charged with DWI and careless driving, according to nj.com.

The case is being investigated by internal affairs, Elizabeth Police Captain William Tinho told Patch.
The case was transferred to Linden Municipal Court on Monday due to a conflict of interest.
