DUI, Drug Possession, Shoplifting Reported In Clark

A burglary to a motor vehicle that was parked at Retro Fitness was also reported in Clark.

CLARK, NJ — Clark Police reported making multiple arrests for driving under the influence, shoplifting, drug possession and more last week.

Clark Police blotter:

On Oct. 30 at 9:43 a.m.: Police took a report of a burglary to a motor vehicle that was parked at Retro Fitness at 225 Terminal Ave. The incident is under investigation. Police Officer Ted McKeown was the investigating officer.

On Oct. 30 at 5:07 p.m.: At headquarters, police arrested Lewis Principe, 66, of Garwood and Jenny Chimenta, 35, of Keansburg for shoplifting merchandise valued at $160.96 from the Marshall’s Department Store at 77 Central Ave Principe was subsequently released on his own recognizance
pending a court date. Chimenta was also charged with simple assault and detained on several outstanding warrants, totaling $6,450, from Freehold, Hazlet, Middletown, Newark and Woodbridge for contempt of court. She was subsequently transported to the Middlesex County Jail. Police Officer Ted McKeown was the arresting officer.

On Oct. 31 at 12:35 a.m.: In the vicinity of Westfield Avenue, police arrested Kalvin Torres, 19, of Springfield for possession of controlled dangerous substance (CDS). He was subsequently released on his own recognizance pending a court date. Police Officer Michael Hernandez was the arresting officer.

On Oct. 31 at 2:34 a.m.: In the vicinity of Westfield Avenue, police arrested Jarell Hubert,& 21, of Hillside for possession of CDS. He was subsequently released on his own recognizance pending a court date. Sgt. Christopher Tuccio was the arresting officer.

On Oct. 31 at 6:35 p.m.: In the vicinity of the Garden State Parkway northbound entrance ramp, police arrested Elaine Dankovich, 72, of Port Reading for DUI. She was subsequently released pending a court date. Sgt. Christopher Tuccio was the arresting officer.

On Nov. 1 at 1:06 a.m.: In the vicinity of the Garden State Parkway northbound, police arrested Daniel Pasqua, 32, of Cranford for DUI and possession of CDS. He was subsequently released pending a court date. Police Officer Michael Hernandez was the arresting officer.

On Nov. 1 at 10:40 p.m.: At headquarters, police arrested Matthew Rodriguez, 18, of Clark for interference with transportation. He was subsequently released on his own recognizance pending a court date. Det. Bruce McDonald was the arresting officer.

On Nov. 2 at 9:40 p.m.: Police arrested Kyle Harvin, 42, of Westfield for shoplifting merchandise valued at $126.35 from the ShopRite Supermarket at 76 Central Ave. He was subsequently released on his own recognizance pending a court date. Police Officer Brandon Pitts was the arresting officer.

On Nov. 4 at 7:38 p.m.: In the vicinity of the Garden State Parkway northbound, police arrested Dana Williams, 46, of Roselle for DUI. She was subsequently released pending a court date. Police Officer Joshua Weber was the arresting officer.
