Dump Truck Overturns On Icy Roads, Driver Rescued In Clark
The Clark Fire Department helped to rescue the driver of a dump truck Wednesday morning in the township.
CLARK, NJ — A driver was rescued by Clark firefighters after the dump truck overturned on icy roads in the township.
The overturned dump truck was reported just after 6 a.m. on Madison Hill Road. After Clark firefighters extricated the driver, the Rahway first aid squad and medics treated and took the driver to an area hospital, according to Clark Fire Chief Frank Cerasa.
The dump truck's load spilled all over the road causing Clark police to close the road at both ends.

Since the road was very icy, police were waiting for tow trucks and county salt trucks to arrive. As of 7:30 a.m., the Clark fire department was waiting for the dump truck to be up righted, said Cerasa.
