Merchants and Drovers Tavern Museum, one of New Jersey’s premier 19th century taverns and hotels and restored today to its 1820’s appearance hosts children's and adult programs throughout the year. This week Merchants & Drovers is hosting an ARCHAEOLOGY DAY CAMP for youngsters at its location.
History is even more interesting when you get your hands dirty! Come join us and discover for yourself how fun archaeology can be. The camp offers an exceptional hands-on learning experience, for children ages 8-13, that will allow them to be active historians! Your child will learn the ins and outs of archaeology, all while excavating an area on the site of the Merchants and Drovers Tavern Museum, under the supervision of a trained archaeologist. Campers will learn excavation techniques, proper safety methods, and how to accurately record artifacts found. Now in its 10th year of operation!
Price: $150.00 which includes two daily snacks, field trip, and a camp t-shirt
