In a press release from Children's Specialized Hospital: The Stepping out With Children’s Specialized Hospital Stars program is on Saturday, April 21, 2012. The cocktail party and dance contest will be held at the Gran Centurions in Clark located at 440 Madison Hill Road and will start at 7 pm. Children’s Specialized Hospital Friends, formerly known as the Auxiliary to the Board of Trustees of Children’s Specialized Hospital, and Twig request all replies to be submitted with the $75 admission fee no later than April 14, 2012.
In the spirit of their new name this year’s event is a new and exciting idea. With a membership of nearly 100 strong, Children’s Specialized Hospital Friends will be hosting “Stepping out with CSH Stars” to benefit the Hospital. In the style of “Dancing with the Stars” four of the Hospital’s “Star “participants will partner with professional dancers from Paragon Ballroom in Roselle Park to vie for the coveted mirror ball trophy.
The “Stars” include Amy Mansue, President and CEO of Children’s Specialized Hospital; Katharyn Nicolle, Reigning Miss New Jersey and Children’s Miracle Network Advocate; Morris Lenczicki, Vice President of Operations at L’Oreal USA and Treasurer of Children’s Specialized Hospital Board of Trustees, and Michael Harrison, Esq., who is also a member of Children’s Specialized Hospital Board of Trustees. In addition to the participants competition there will be several performances by the professional dancers from Paragon. The audiences will a have the chance to support their favorite “Stars” by becoming part of their Fan Club for a fee of $10. All proceeds from this fund raising event will go to support the renovations to the Mountainside and Toms River Facilities.
