Family-Owned Alfano Renovations Opens In Garwood

GARWOOD, NJ — Three Alfano brothers and their father are expanding what was once their father’s renovation business into Garwood.

Michael Alfano started the business, Alfano Renovations, about 30 years ago as a contractor in Monmouth County.

As each of his sons have come of age — Michael Jr., Anthony and Dominick — they each joined the business about 10 years ago.

While Michael Sr. has taken on more of a managerial role to the company; he is still very much involved in the day to day operations. Michael Jr handles all the promotional work, designs and estimating, Anthony takes care of all the building and major renovation work and Dominick is responsible for all the finish carpentry and cabinet installations.

“The business has really evolved over the years,” Michael Jr. said. “It was a renovation company more than anything else. But we have taken the company to expand to do entire home and commercial renovations. We have expanded outside of just kitchen and bathrooms.”

About 12 years ago they opened their first kitchen and bath showroom and have since moved into a new larger location this past summer in Eatontown. And now have opened the doors to their second location at 331 South Avenue in Garwood.

While the family worked in the area for many years, they have not had an actual location.

“Our customers in Monmouth County also had homes in this area and they said there was nothing like us up there,” Michael Jr. said.

Alfano Renovations offers just about everything you may need during a transformation. They offer construction, cabinet work, tile installation and have the showroom which displays kitchen cabinets and counters along with bathroom and kitchen tile and fixtures.

“Customers don’t have to go to other places to get the materials they need,” Michael Jr. said. “Everything is under one roof… It makes the process a lot easier, quicker, more streamlined and less confusing for everyone involved.”

The showroom in Garwood is open Tuesday to Friday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. to pm; however people should call for appointments and holiday schedule.
