First Union County Baby Of 2018 Welcomed At Trinitas
"It was very unusual that our first baby of the year didn't arrive on Jan 1!"
ELIZABETH, NJ — Trinitas Regional Medical Center welcomed the delivery of the first baby of 2018 on Jan. 2 at 11:17 a.m.
A baby boy was born to Rose Demosthene and Willick Jospeh of Rahway. He weighed 6 pounds, 13 ounces and is 19.5 inches long.
The nursing staff kept a long-standing tradition by gifting a complete layette to the New Year’s baby.

"It was very unusual that our first baby of the year didn’t arrive on Jan 1st! Our staff delivers over 2,000 newborns per year," said Doug Harris, spokesman for Trinitas Regional Medical Center in Elizabeth.
