Fitbit Thief Arrested For Stealing From Clark Store: Police

A Middletown man was arrested for having three stolen Fitbits from a Clark Target worth $150 each: blotter

ROSELLE PARK, NJ — A man who stole three Fitbit's from a Target store in Clark was arrested by Roselle Park Police.

Stephen N. Lambrecht, 30 from Middletown was stopped in a a 2000 Dodge on W. Westfield Avenue in Roselle Park for a moving violation on Oct. 5 at approximately 10:59 a.m.

Roselle Park Ptl. Dean Khallaf found Lambrecht to be in possession of three stolen Fitbits. The items were learned to be taken from the Target store in Clark which was confirmed by loss prevention and said to be valued at approximately $150 each, according to police.

He was charged with receiving stolen property and served with a summons and released with a court date.

On Oct. 1 at approximately 04:42 a.m.: Ptl. Angelo Marino conducted a motor vehicle stop on Galloping Hill Rd. with a 1998 Lincoln for a moving and equipment violation. The driver of the vehicle, Jamal A. Johnson, age 35 from Newark was found to be driving on a suspended license and have outstanding warrants out of Newark, Plainfield and Springfield Municipal Courts totaling $1,905. He was placed under arrest and subsequently found to be in possession of a controlled dangerous substance (methylone), commonly known as “Molly”. Johnson was charged with possession of c.d.s. He was served with a summons and released with a future court date after posting bail on other warrants. Motor vehicle summonses were also issued.

On Oct. 2 at approximately 1:10 a.m.: Ptl. William Hannon conducted a motor vehicle stop on Locust St. with a 2005 Dodge for a moving and equipment violation. The driver of the vehicle, Kenneth A. Johnson Jr., age 26 from Rahway was arrested for driving while intoxicated and subsequently found to be in possession of a controlled dangerous substance (marijuana) and a weapon (butterfly knife). Johnson Jr. was charged with d.w.i., possession of a weapon and possession of c.d.s. He was served with summonses and released with a court date. Motor vehicle summonses were also issued.

On Oct. 5 at approximately 9:08 p.m.: Ptl. Jeffrey Smith conducted a pedestrian stop on W. Westfield Ave. with, Anthony J. Bachus, age 52 from Plainfield, after being called to the area for a suspicious male who had dropped a bag of personal belongings on the sidewalk. Bachus was found to be in possession of a controlled dangerous substance (methamphetamine and heroin) and drug paraphernalia. He was placed under arrest and transported to Roselle Park Police headquarters where he was processed. Bachus was charged with (2) counts of possession of c.d.s. and drug paraphernalia. He was served with a summons and released with a court date.
