WHAT:        Clark Mayor Sal Bonaccorso has issued a proclamation declaring March 13, 2013 “Registered Dietitian Day” in recognition of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics "National Nutrition Month." The 2013 theme, "Eat Right, Your Way, Every Day," encourages personalized healthy eating styles and recognizes that food preferences, lifestyle, cultural and ethnic traditions and health concerns all impact individual food choices.

The ShopRite of Clark’s very own in-store registered dietitian, Lauren Purdy, will celebrate the occasion with a showcase of food samplings featuring healthy recipes inspired by Italian, Mexican, Irish and Asian cuisines. Sampling will take place from 11 AM – 1 PM on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at the ShopRite of Clark and is open to all customers. In addition to the samplings, there will also be a raffle and giveaways for customers.
