GARWOOD, NJ — 2020 is right around the corner and with the new year and new decade about to start many government officials are looking ahead. Garwood Councilman Marc Lazarow's 2020 New Year resolution is to have a budget that is fair to taxpayers.

"My top priority this upcoming new year as chair of the finance committee is to try to make sure we have a budget that continues to be fair to taxpayers while making sure we deliver top quality services to our residents. With the help of our volunteer citizens advisory panel, insight from department heads, and number crunching from our auditor and CFO, I am confident we will bring forth a budget that balances these priorities."

Democrat incumbent Lazarow was re-elected as councilman along with Democrat Jennifer Blumenstock over Republicans Victor Stevens and Joseph Nicastro III in the November election.
