Garwood DPW Still Clearing Snow, Refrain From Parking On Roads

GARWOOD, NJ — Garwood Police are asking residents to continue to keep cars off the roadways on Tuesday as DPW crews continue to clear snow.
"Please refrain from parking on the roadways at this time. DPW is still clearing streets and parked cars can make this task difficult," said police.
Garwood's borough ordinance states that "Whenever snow has fallen and there is an accumulation of three inches or more of snow on any street or highway, no vehicle shall be parked on any street or highway, or portion thereof in the Borough of Garwood. This prohibition shall remain in effect until and after the snow has ceased and the street has been plowed after the cessation of the snowfall."

Garwood residents who do not have off-street parking available should contact the Garwood Police Department at 908-789-1500.
Garwood Schools are virtual on Tuesday and collection for the Borough of Garwood scheduled for Monday was canceled.
