Garwood Local Opens Love Valentine Boutique In Hometown

GARWOOD, NJ — Joeanne Valentine Farrell is bringing style to Garwood with her new eclectic boutique.

Love Valentine, aptly named from her own name, is a dream come true to Farrell a Garwood local. She had been working for 15-plus years in the retail and warehousing industry where she brought in merchandise for all the major luxury brands.

"I decided to follow my passion and go after my dreams," Farrell said. "Over the past two years I started my online boutique and began doing pop-ups all over New York and New Jersey to get my brand and name out. I was just waiting for the perfect location."

Farrell found the perfect location in her hometown at 60 North Ave. She officially opened her first brick and mortar location in November.

Farrell describes her boutique as one that stands out from the crowd and offers a different type of vibe.

Formally from California and New York, Farrell is bringing the styles from the two coasts to Garwood. She attends all of the fashion shows and does a lot of research to offer a unique style to locals.

"I offer customers and clients different clothing lines that not a lot of smaller shops or even bigger stores like Lord and Taylor or Macy's offer. Many times those bigger stores all offer the same things, I want to stand out from the crowd," Farrell said.

Love Boutique offers women’s clothing, accessories, all natural soy candles, jewelry and natural skin and body products.

Additionally, Farrell has a candle re-purpose and recycle program. Locals who have a favorite vessel from a candle that may have burned out or even just a favorite mug or container can bring it into the shop to refill. Love Valentine will fill the vessel with 50 percent soy wax and 50 percent coconut wax and a crackling wood wick. Customers are able to also pick the scents for their candle.

Customers can also schedule a private home trunk show or corporate event through Love Valentine as well.
