Garwood Reopens Athletic Fields, Installs Hand Sanitizer Stations
As coronavirus rules and regulations begin to ease up, Garwood has reopened its athletic fields and basketball courts.
GARWOOD, NJ — As coronavirus rules and regulations begin to ease up, Garwood has reopened its athletic fields and basketball courts along with installing touchless hand sanitizing stations in public areas.
The following athletic fields reopening include:
- Hartman Park Basketball Court
- Recreation Complex Turf Field and Basketball Court
- Recreation Complex Baseball Field (for organized play only as per Borough practice)

Touchless hand sanitizing stations have also been installed at:
- Hartman Park near the picnic tables
- The entrance(s) to the basketball court and turf field at the Garwood Sports and Recreation Complex
- The deck at the Garwood Sports and Recreation Complex
- The vestibule at Borough Hall
Borough Hall remains closed to the public until the building can be modified for safe social distancing for the staff and public.
