Here's How Clark-Garwood Students Scored On The SAT
Patch compiled the combined SAT scores for 2020 as well as the scores in "math" and "reading and writing".
CLARK/GARWOOD, NJ — Even in the middle of a pandemic, the SATs play an important role for incoming seniors who are already looking at colleges. Here is how Clark and Garwood ranked, according to the most recent data released by the state for 2020.
Clark Public School District, which includes students from Garwood, averaged a combined score of 1078 on the SATs, which was ranked at the 155th highest in the state and 6th in Union County for its combined score. Union County Vocational-Technical School District ranked at 8th highest in the state and top in the county with a combined score of 1313 on the SATs.
On the math portion, students in the Clark averaged 539 (151st in the state), and in reading/writing, the average score was 539 (161st in the state). Perfect would be a combined 1600, or 800 in each section.

The SAT scores were part of the state Department of Education's School Performance Reports for the 2018-19 school year. The reports include figures on enrollment, proficiency scores, PARCC scores, graduation rates and SAT scores.
