Home And Car Burglaries Reported In Clark

A Cranford and Westfield locals were also arrested for shoplifting at a Clark store, police reported in the blotter.

CLARK, NJ — Clark Police reported a home and car burglary and made arrests for shoplifting, driving under the influence and drugs last week.

Clark Police Blotter:

On Aug. 29 at 3:49 p.m.: Police took a report of a theft of an item from a locker at L.A. Fitness at 1255
Raritan Road. The incident is under investigation. Police Officer Michael Hernandez was the investigating officer.

On Aug. 30 at 10:52 a.m.: In the vicinity of Ross Street, police arrested Tanyshwia Stokes, 26, of Linden for possession of controlled dangerous substance (CDS). She was subsequently released on her own recognizance pending a court date. Police Officer Andrew Medeiros was the arresting officer.

On Aug. 30 at 12:34 p.m.: At 76 Central Avenue, police arrested Stephanie Belasco, 67, of Westfield for shoplifting merchandise valued at $32.89 from the Shop-Rite Supermarket at 76 Central Ave. She was subsequently released on her own recognizance pending a court date. Police Officer Sergio D’Andrea was the arresting officer.

On Aug. 30 at 6:22 p.m.: Police took a report of a theft of a package from the porch of a residence on Joseph Street. The incident is under investigation. Police Officer Omer Olmeda was the investigating officer.

On Aug. 31 at 11:19 p.m.: In the vicinity of Westfield and Brant Avenues, police arrested Ashley Luna, 26, of Orange, California for possession of CDS and CDS paraphernalia. She was subsequently released on her own recognizance pending a court date. Police Officer Bruce McDonald was the arresting officer.

On Sept. 1 at 10:04 p.m.: In the vicinity of Raritan Road, police arrested Jihad Baker, 23, of Hillside for possession of CDS and CDS paraphernalia. He was subsequently released on his own recognizance pending a court date. Police Officer Joshua Weber was the arresting officer.

On Sept. 1 at 10:56 p.m.: Police took a report of a burglary to a residence on State Street. The incident is under investigation. Police Officer Omer Olmeda was the investigating officer.

On Sept. 2 at 1:33 a.m.: At 1255 Raritan Road, police arrested Christopher Favire, 26, of Rahway for DUI. He was subsequently released pending a court date. Police Officer Joshua Weber was the arresting officer.

On Sept. 2 at 12:54 p.m.: In the vicinity of Westfield Avenue, police arrested Tenai Whitfield, 26, of Newark for possession of CDS. She was subsequently released on her own recognizance pending a court
date. Police Officer Andrew Medeiros was the arresting officer.

On Sept. 2 at 4:31 p.m.: In the vicinity of Westfield Avenue, police arrested James Cunningham, 34, of Irvington for DUI. He was subsequently released pending a court date. Police Officer Paul Sosnowski was the arresting officer.

On Sept. 3 at 1:36 a.m.: At 36 Valley Road, police arrested Rayvon Williams, 45, of High Point, North Carolina for obstruction. Police Officer Joshua Weber was the arresting officer.

On Sept. 4 at 11:30 a.m.: Police took a report of a burglary to a motor vehicle that was parked at a residence on Union Street. The incident is under investigation. Police Officer Mazhar Elwardany was the investigating officer.

On Sept. 4 at 10:35 p.m.: At 45 Central Avenue, police arrested Ashon Sales, 33, of Cranford for shoplifting merchandise valued at $346.97 from the Target Department Store at 45 Central Ave. He was subsequently released on his own recognizance pending a court date. Police Officer Ted McKeown was the arresting officer.
