Large Fight, Hit-And-Run Reported Outside Linden Go Go Bar

LINDEN, NJ — Two people were assaulted, including one hit by a car, following a large fight in front of a Linden strip club on Mother's Day, police report.

A large fight was reported in front of Cheeques Gentleman’s Club, 1230 E. Linden Ave., on Sunday, May 12 just after 3 a.m., Linden Police Lt. Christopher Guenther said.

During the fight two victims were assaulted by multiple people including a 31-year-old man from Jersey City who was then hit by a vehicle, Guenther said.

Both victims were transported to Newark University Hospital and are listed in critical condition. The vehicle fled the scene driving west on E. Linden Avenue, Guenther said.

The crash remains under investigation by the Linden Police Detective Bureau and Traffic Bureau, with assistance from the Union County Sheriff’s Office.
