Linden Police Investigate 'Suspicious' Van
The driver of the van reportedly got out and approached a 9-year-old boy before he ran inside his home, Linden Police said.

LINDEN, NJ — Authorities are asking for the public's help to identify a van wanted in connection with a suspicious event on Friday.
"We decided to release this because there are reports circulating online referring to this incident as an 'attempted abduction.' We have not found any evidence to support these allegations, however, and are investigating this incident as a suspicious event," Linden Police Lt. Christopher Guenther said.
The event happened on Oct. 4 at around 3:15 p.m. when a mother said her 9-year-old son was outside when he saw a white van pull up on the 1400 block of Hussa Street in Linden.

The driver reportedly exited the van holding an unknown object in his hand, at which time the boy ran inside. The man did not speak to or approach the boy, and left the area, Guenther said.
Anyone who can help identify this van with three black men inside is asked to contact Detective Dave Nolasco at 908-474-8421.
