Press release from Garwood Daisy Troop #41108:

Dec. 1, 2020

As we prepare for the holiday season, Garwood Daisy Troop #41108 collected snacks for the Plainfield Salvation Army. The Plainfield Salvation Army soup kitchen provides meals for individuals four times a week and in these uncertain times they were in need of snacks to provide along with the meals. Our Troop goal was to fill eighteen boxes (size 24" x 18" x 12") and to keep it fun for the girls, we asked each girl what their favorite snack was. We are happy to announce that we not only filled eighteen boxes, but we collected an overwhelming amount of snacks. At drop off, Lieutenant Infinity said "We want to thank Daisy Girl Scouts Troop #41108 for taking the time, thoughtfulness and creativity in creating snack boxes for those in need in our community. This will be a blessing to others."
