Man Caught On Video, Charged With Burglarizing Linden Auto Shop
Linden Police say Gregory Szatmary, 38, of Roselle stole more than $1,000 worth of tools and car parts.

LINDEN, NJ — A Roselle man who was caught on video was arrested and charged after police say he burglarized a Linden auto repair shop. (See the video below)
On March 6 at around 6 a.m., a man later identified as Gregory Szatmary, 38, of Roselle, allegedly forced his way into the gated area of the business located at 600 E. Elizabeth Ave. and stole more than $1,000 worth of tools and car parts, said Linden Police Lt. Christopher Guenther.
Linden Police Detectives discovered that the parts were scrapped at a metal recycling facility in nearby Rahway, said Guenther.

Police released a video of the wanted on March 10 asking the public's help to identify him.

Szatmary was identified as the suspect and arrested in Linden by the Union County Sheriff's Office Warrant Squad on March 18.
Szatmary is charged with third-degree burglary, as well as fourth-degree charges including criminal mischief, theft, and fencing.
He was remanded to the Union County Jail pending an appearance in Union County Superior Court.
"The timeliness of this arrest is an impactful step to protect our residents and their quality of life," said Linden Police Chief David Hart. "I am very proud of the resourcefulness and persistence of our Detectives to identify this defendant and bring forth these charges."
