Man Impersonates Cop, Shoplifts $300 From Shoprite: Blotter
A man who impersonated a police officer and shoplifted more than $300 worth of merchandise was arrested by Clark Police last week: blotter

CLARK, NJ — A man who impersonated a police officer and shoplifted more than $300 worth of merchandise was arrested by Clark Police last week, according to the blotter.
Michael Cunningham, 65, married, retired of Edison was arrested on Aug. 16 at 2:32 p.m. for shoplifting merchandise valued at $329.76 from the Shop-Rite Supermarket at 76 Central Avenue. He was also charged with Impersonating a Law Enforcement Officer.
He was subsequently released on his own recognizance pending a court date. P.O. Mazhar Elwardany was the Arresting Officer.

On Aug. 16 at 7:13 p.m.: In the vicinity of the Garden State Parkway northbound entrance ramp, police arrested John Ruddy, 22, single, an auto body technician of Rahway and Chares Greco, 35, married a laborer of Port Reading for Unlawful Taking of a Means of Conveyance. Both men were subsequently released pending court dates. P.O. Andrew Medeiros was the Arresting Officer.

On Aug. 18 at 9:54 a.m.: Police took a report of criminal mischief to a motor vehicle that was parked at a residence on Mildred Terrace. The incident is under investigation. P.O. Ricardo Oliveira was the Investigating Officer.
On Aug. 18 at 9:41 p.m.: Police took a report of a theft of items from a motor vehicle that was parked at a residence on Lexington Boulevard. The incident is under investigation. P.O. Mark Detore was the Investigating Officer.
On Aug. 18 at 9:50 p.m.: At 45 Central Avenue, police arrested Khalil Alexander, 23, single, unemployed of Irvington and Dominque Wheeler Weaver, 30, single, a street cleaner of Newark for shoplifting merchandise valued at $233.69 from the Target Department Store at 45 Central Avenue. Both persons were
subsequently released pending court dates. P.O. Michael Ciaccio was the Arresting Officer.
