Man 'Possibly' Hit By Train Near Linden Station
Police are investigating after a man was found injured near train tracks in Union County.
LINDEN, NJ — Police are investigating after a man was found injured near train tracks in Union County.
On Friday at around 4:30 a.m., New Jersey Transit Police received a report of someone possibly being hit by a train on the Northeast Corridor near Linden Station, said NJ Transit Spokesman Everett Merrill.
"There are no initial reports of an NJ TRANSIT train involved in a pedestrian strike, however the investigation is ongoing," said Merrill.

The adult man was taken to University Medical Center with unknown injuries. It is unknown as of 12:40 p.m. whether the man was hit by a train.
New Jersey Transit Police remain on the scene and the Northeast Corridor Rail Service has resumed after a brief suspension of rail service due to this incident.
