Man Seriously Injured, Hit By Car While Trying To Cross Route 1&9 In Union County
A 53-year-old Linden man was seriously injured Friday night, and investigators are asking witnesses to come forward.
LINDEN, NJ — Police are asking for the public's help after a man was seriously injured when he was hit by a car while trying to cross Route 1 & 9 in Linden late Friday night, said Linden Police.
The crash happened at around 11:42 p.m. on Friday, on Route 1&9 North near Woodlawn Avenue.
The pedestrian, identified as a 53-year-old Linden man, was hit by a white Kia Rio as he tried to cross Route 1&9, said police.

The man suffered serious injuries in the crash and was taken to University Hospital. He remains in stable condition.
The driver, a 46-year-old Elizabeth resident, was not injured and remained on scene following the crash, said police.
