Married Couple Among 6 Arrested For Shoplifting In Clark: Police

A Clark local was also arrested for DUI, resisting arrest and possession of drugs: police blotter

CLARK, NJ — A Mountainside married couple was among the six people arrested last week for shoplifting at the Clark ShopRite, according to the police blotter.

Three other people were also arrested for DUI including a Clark resident, according to the blotter.

On July 29 at 5:47 p.m.: In the vicinity of Raritan Road, police arrested Elizabeth Sickman, age 56, married, unemployed of Mountainside and Stephen Sickman, age 49, married of the same address for shoplifting merchandise valued at $67.03 from the Shop-Rite Supermarket at 76 Central Avenue. Elizabeth Sickman was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and Stephen Sickman was also charged with possession of a hypodermic needle. Both individuals were subsequently released on their own recognizance pending court dates. Sgt. Chris Lott was the Arresting Officer.

On July 25 at 5:03 p.m.: In the vicinity of Central Avenue, police arrested Malik Singleton, 19, single, a student of Roselle, and Shaquan Nelson, 18, single, a student of Roselle, for shoplifting from the Shop-Rite Supermarket at 76 Central Avenue. Singleton was subsequently released on his own recognizance pending a court date. Nelson was released pending a court date on the Clark charges and subsequently turned over to the Lakewood Police Department on an outstanding warrant for contempt of court. P.O. Pedro Oliveira was the Arresting Officer.

On July 30 at 6:49 p.m.: At 76 Central Avenue, police arrested Marc Manno, age 28, single, unemployed of Bayonne and Alex Gomez, age 34, single, unemployed of Jersey City for shoplifting from the Shop-Rite Supermarket at 76 Central Avenue. Both men were subsequently released on their own recognizance pending court dates. Det. Alex Yanes was the Arresting Officer.

On July 26 at 9:52 a.m.: Police took a report of criminal mischief to a residence at 65 Grand Street. The incident is under investigation. P.O. Sergio D’Andrea was the Investigating Officer.

On July 27 at 1:24 p.m.: At Headquarters, police arrested Kristin Kolic, age 31, single, unemployed of Perth Amboy on an outstanding warrant in the amount of $1,244 for contempt of court. She was subsequently transported to the Union County Jail. P.O. Sergio D’Andrea was the Arresting Officer.

On July 27 at 4:05 p.m.: Police arrested Brian Fabian-Santos, age 19, single, unemployed of Perth Amboy for unlawful use of credit cards and forgery. He was subsequently released on his own recognizance pending a court date. P.O. Sergio D’Andrea was the Arresting Officer.

On July 30 at 5:22 a.m.: In the vicinity of Valley Road, police arrested Marcelo Silva, age 36, single, a graphic designer of Clark for DUI, resisting arrest and possession of CDS and CDS paraphernalia. He was subsequently released pending a court date. P.O. Bruce McDonald was the Arresting Officer.

On July 30 at 11:11 p.m.: In the vicinity of Georgia Street, police arrested Asif Mohammed, age 47, married, a consultant of Westfield for DUI. He was subsequently released pending a court date. P.O. Mark Detore was the Arresting Officer.

On July 31 at 9:24 p.m.: In the vicinity of Westfield Avenue, police arrested William Maines, age 51, married, a supervisor of Edison for DUI. He was subsequently released pending a court date. P.O. Ted McKeown was the Arresting Officer.
