Multiple Thefts From Cars, Lockers Reported At Clark Fitness Studios

2 Clark locals were also arrested for burglary and simple assault in separate incidents, according to the police blotter.

CLARK, NJ — Four thefts were reported from L.A. Fitness and 24 Hour Fitness locations in Clark last week.

On Sept. 26 at 2:24 p.m.: Police took a report of a theft of items from a locker at L.A. Fitness at
1255 Raritan Road. The incident is under investigation. Police Officer Sergio D’Andrea was the investigating officer.

On Sept. 27 at 11:19 a.m.: Police took a report of a burglary to a motor vehicle that was parked at
L.A. Fitness at 1255 Raritan Road. The incident is under investigation. Police Officer Michael Somma was the investigating officer.

On Sept. 27 at 1:30 p.m.: Police took a report of a theft of items from a motor vehicle that was parked at
24 Hour Fitness at 140 Central Ave. The incident is under investigation. Police Officer Sergio Henriques was the investigating officer.

On Sept. 30 at 5:27 p.m.: Police took a report of a theft of items from a locker at L.A. Fitness at
1255 Raritan Road. The incident is under investigation. Police Officer Ted McKeown was the investigating officer.

On Sept. 27 at 2:42 p.m.: In the vicinity of Westfield Avenue, police arrested Anthony McGrath, 19, of Clark for burglary. He was subsequently released on his own recognizance pending a court date. Police Officer Alex Ruiz was the arresting officer.

On Sept. 27 at 7 p.m.: At 292 Terminal Ave., police arrested Brett O’Donnell, 29, of Toms River for
burglary, theft and possession of controlled dangerous substance(CDS) and CDS paraphernalia. He was
subsequently released on his own recognizance pending a court date. Det. Alex Yanes was the arresting officer.

On Sept. 29 at 7:51 p.m.: At 208 Gibson Blvd., police arrested Alexander Hayhurst, 23, of Clark for simple
assault, criminal mischief, contempt of court and harassment. He was subsequently transported to the Union County Jail. Police Officer Ted McKeown was the arresting officer.

On Sept. 30 at 1:28 a.m.: In the vicinity of the Garden State Parkway northbound connector, police arrested Alexander Lopez, 20, of Elizabeth for possession of CDS. He was subsequently released on his own recognizance pending a court date. Police Officer Michael Ciaccio was the arresting officer.

On Oct. 2 at 1:27 a.m.: In the vicinity of Raritan Road and Featherbed Lane, police arrested Michael Katz, 38,of Edison for possession of CDS and CDS paraphernalia. Also arrested was Kathleen Katz, 40, of Edison for possession of CDS. Both individuals were subsequently released on their own recognizance pending court dates. Police Officer Bruce McDonald was the arresting officer.

On Oct. 2 at 11:43 a.m.: At 76 Central Ave., police arrested Annarita Caro-Esposito, 49, of Linden for
shoplifting merchandise valued at $210.47 from the Shop-Rite Supermarket. She was subsequently released on her own recognizance pending a court date. Police Officer Andrew Medeiros was the arresting officer.
