New 296-Unit Rental Building At Garwood Train Station Set To Open

GARWOOD, NJ — The new Vermella at Garwood Station, a mixed-use project with 296 apartments and 19,000 square feet of retail space, is on track to begin leasing in early 2021.

The new project at the intersection of South Avenue and Center Street in downtown Garwood adjacent to New Jersey Transit's Raritan Valley Line. Construction began in late 2018 and is expected to be completed shortly.

The new community will have 296 apartments consisting of studios, one- and two-bedroom residences with balconies in a four-story building.

There is also 40,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor amenities including a fitness center, clubroom, private co-working spaces, golf simulator, two-story lobby/study, children’s playroom, resort-style pool and more.

The community will also have 19,000 square feet of retail including restaurants, coffee shops, and other tenants.
