Garwood has opened a charging and cooling center for residents who still have no power.

CLARK/GARWOOD, NJ — Roughly 400 residents in Clark and Garwood remain without power as of Friday night with restoration not expected for some until Monday night.

Clark and Garwood are also working to help with storm debris cleanup.

"Please note our DPW is still working vigorously removing trees and branches. We are working in the hardest-hit areas first and making sure all roadways are passable. Please have patience as we make it through the Town. We will get to all residents. Stay out of the work areas and do not touch downed wires," Clark Township stated.

Clark residents with fallen branches can place them curbside (away from catch basins). DPW will begin final storm clean up early next week. Residents are asked not to mix grass clippings in with the branches. Grass clippings are to be bagged and placed curbside Monday evenings for Tuesday removal.
