Prayer Vigil Tonight For Clark Student Who Died In Head-On Crash
A prayer vigil will be held Tuesday for The College of New Jersey student Michael Sot, who died following in a head-on car crash.

CLARK, NJ — A prayer vigil will be held Tuesday night for Clark resident and The College of New Jersey student Michael Sot, who was died after being critically injured in a head-on car crash on Sunday morning.
The vigil will be held at 7 p.m. in the front parking lot and circle driveway at Clark Town Hall on Westfield Avenue.

Attendees are asked not to park in the recreation center lot due to scheduled events at the center. They are asked to park at Arthur L. Johnson High School, 365 Westfield Ave. in Clark. Officers will be on hand to safely cross pedestrian traffic, Clark Police reported.
Sot, 20, a math major from Clark was among the many people injured in the crash after they were hit by an impaired driver identified as David Lamar, 22, of West Windsor.

Lamar was charged with seven counts of assault-by-auto after the investigation revealed that he operated a motor vehicle while impaired at 2:07 a.m. on Sunday when he struck another car, police said.
Sot was a designated driver for the night who happened to get into an accident with the other car, according to William Walker, Phi Kappa Psi fraternit's president, who set up a GoFundMe page for the victims.
Other TCNJ students injured in the crash include: Danielle DeFlores, 21, an open-options major from Brick; Matthew DeGenova, 21, an accounting major from Wall Township; Anthony Galante, 19, a finance major from North Bellmore, NY; and Ryan Moore, 21, a marketing major from Midland Park, Walker said.
Lamar was traveling southbound at 1817 Pennington Road in Ewing Township in a black 2018 Kia Optima when his vehicle crossed over the double yellow lines, striking a 2007 Dodge Charger that was traveling northbound. There were a total of two people in the Kia and six people in the Dodge.
The crash happened near The College of New Jersey.
Overall, eight people were hospitalized in the crash and six were listed as being in critical condition Injuries in the crash included broken bones, a ruptured bladder and a brain injury, according to police.
