Rahway MVC Closes, Employee Tests Positive For COVID

The Rahway Licensing Center​ will be closed for the next two weeks. However, the Inspection Station in Rahway will remain open.

RAHWAY, NJ — The Rahway Licensing Center and Flemington Licensing Center are closed for the next two weeks after an employee tested positive at each location, the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission has announced.

The Rahway Center will reopen Tuesday, Nov. 24. The employee who tested positive was last in the Rahway center on Monday, Nov. 9.

The Flemington center off Route 202 will reopen Monday, Nov. 30. The employee who tested positive was last in the Flemington center on Saturday.

However, the Inspection Stations in Flemington and Rahway will remain open, as will Rahway Road Test Operations.

Five other MVC Centers remain closed after an employee tested positive for COVID-19 at each location, and will reopen on the following dates:

  • Runnemede Vehicle Center – reopens Thursday
  • Trenton Regional/Vehicle Center – reopens Friday
  • Eatontown Regional/Licensing Center – reopens Friday
  • Bayonne Licensing Center – reopens Wednesday, Nov. 25
  • Wallington Vehicle Center – reopens Wednesday, Nov. 25
