Republicans won in Clark, while Democrats won in Garwood this election, according to unofficial results reported by Union County.

CLARK/GARWOOD, NJ — Republicans won in Clark, while Democrats won in Garwood this election, according to unofficial results reported by Union County.
Clark Council:

All four wards in Clark have a contested race this year for the one four-year seat available for each.
For the 1st ward Democrat Nancy L. Sheridan is running against Republican Frank G. Mazzarella.

For the 2nd ward Democrat Nancy K. Yewaisis is running against Republican Patrick O'Connor.
For the 3rd ward Democrat Patrick E. Murphy is running against Republican Steven Hund.
For the 4th ward Democrat David J. Hessler is running against Brian P. Toal.
Garwood:
There is also a contested race for both the mayor borough council seats in Garwood.
Democrat Sara Todisco is running against Republican Ileen Cuccaro for the one four-year mayoral seat.
Two Democrats, Michael Ince and Sean Benoit are running against Republicans Stephanie Bianco
and Salvatore Piarulli for two, three-year seats on the council.
Clark School Board:
There is no contested race for school board with three candidates vying for the three three-year seats open including: Dino Bencivenga, Robert F. Smorol, Jr., and Scott Bohm
Garwood School Board:
There is a contested race for Garwood school board with five candidates vying for three three-year seats on the board with candidates including: Mary Ann Kjetsaa, Maureen Scepkowski, Joseph Miceli, Ralph Trentacosta, and Denise Ridente.
Union County:
The county freeholder race is also contested with six candidates vying for three three-year seats including Democrats Alexander Mirabella, Andrea F. Staten, and Kimberly Mouded and Republicans Patricia Quattrocchi, Joseph R. Sarno III and Peter G. Kane.
There is also one unexpired seat up for grabs with Democrat Rebecca L. Williams running against Republican Peter B. Lijoi.
